It’s not easy to deal with a crisis alone. When you experience the loss of a loved one, severe sickness, disability, accident, treatment of developmental illness, and other problems, you need someone who knows expertly about what to do and whom to approach. Meiger Health‘s medical social workers assess the person’s physical, emotional, and mental needs and the family’s support system. We then find the person and/or his family the assistance that he needs. We help provide financial assistance in the case that the afamily could not afford medication or household bills. We also provide counseling to depressed, emotionally unstable, and any other developmentally incapacitated individuals. We connect the family to agencies, institutions, government programs, and other organizations or persons that could assist in finding solutions.
